Cenotes are deep natural pools of water that have formed naturally over hundreds of years. These have been formed by the filtration of rainwater and by the currents of the rivers that are born in the heart of the earth. These water wells reach an average temperature of 75.2º F so submerging in their waters is a very pleasant experience.

Cenotes can be classified into 4 types: open, semi-open, closed, and deep open. Each one has very particular characteristics and their formation is due to the time they have been training. But without a doubt, they all keep a mysticism and an impressive natural beauty.

Immerse yourself and practice diving in cenotes with the experienced team of The Mayan Cave and elevate your experience of visiting Tulum and the Riviera Maya to another level.
